June 20, 2012 = Allie will present on “Understandingt the Link between Violence to Animals and People” at the National District Attorney Association’s Career Prosecutor’s Course in San Diego, CA.

July 11, 2012 = Allie will be conducting a webinar on “Children Exposed to Animal Abuse” for the National Children’s Alliance.

August 2, 2012 = Allie will present on “Therapy Animals Helping Maltreated Children and Strategies for Successful Implementation in CACs, Prosecutor’s Offices and Courtrooms” and “Caught in the Cross Fire: When Animal Abuse Co-Occurs with Family Violence” at the Florida Krimes Against Kids Conference in Orlando, Florida.

April 27, 2012 = Allie presented on “Caught in the Cross Fire: When Animal Abuse Co-Occurs with Family Violence” at the Cherish the Child Conference in Joppa, MD.

April 19, 2012 = Allie presented on “Therapy Animals Helping Maltreated Children and Strategies for Successful Implementation in CACs, Prosecutor’s Offices and Courtrooms” at the 18th  National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect in Washington D.C.

February 28, 2012 = Allie presented at the 2nd World Conference on Women’s Shelters in Washington D.C. about her Sheltering Animals & Families Together (SAF-T) program.

February 25, 2012 = Allie spoke to the Suffolk Humane Society and community about successful sheltering and adoption practices and signed copies of her books Defending the Defenseless and How Shelter Pets are Brokered for Experimentation.

January 20, 2012 = Allie presented on “The crossfire between violence to animals and people” at the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council in Phoenix, AZ.

January 19, 2012 = Allie held a book signing event at Changing Hands book store in Phoenix, Arizona. The event was sponsored by The Humane Link.

December 17, 2011 = Allie held a book signing event at ProFeed Pet Store in Alexandria, VA. Her special guests were kittens with King Street Cats!

November 23, 2011 = Allie held a book signing event at Books N Beans in Owosso, MI. Her special guests were the Shiawassee County Humane Society and Michiganders for Shelter Pets!

November 25, 2011 = Allie held a book signing event for Defending the Defenseless at Everybody Reads in Lansing MI. Her special guests were Voiceless-MI and Michiganders for Shelter Pets!

November 26, 2011 = Allie held a book signing event for Defending the Defenseless at Schuler’s Books  in Walker (Grand Rapids), MI. Her special guests were Carol’s Ferals (with an adoptable cat) and Michiganders for Shelter Pets!

November 12, 2011 = Allie held a book signing event at The Big Bad Woof in Hyattsville, MD. Her special guests were kittens from King Street Cats!

November 8, 2011 = Allie will be presenting on the linkages between violence to animals and people and Sheltering Animals & Families Together (SAF-T) at the 21st Annual National Multidisciplinary Conference on Domestic Violence in Salt Lake City, UT.

October 26, 2011 – Allie presented on “Caught in the Cross Fire: When Animal Abuse Co-Occurs with Family Violence” at the Mid-Atlantic Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect in Ocean City, MD.

October 18, 2011 = Allie was the guest speaker on the monthly teleconference for the Sheltering Animal Reiki Association. Allie spoke about her latest book, Defending the Defenseless, and how people can get involved to help animals.

October 5, 2011 = Allie presented on the crossfire between violence to animals and people at a conference in Chesapeake, Virginia.

September 29, 2011 = Allie trained juvenile court personnel and on the linkages between violence to animals and people in Ann Arbor, MI.

September 8, 2011 = Allie gave a webinar on Tackling the Prosecution of Animal Abuse Head On for the National Center for Prosecution of Animal Abuse.

August 12 and September 9, 2011 = Allie gave a webinar on Sheltering Animals & Families Together (SAF-T) for the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence.

June 16, 2011 = Allie gave a webinar through the National Children’s Alliance on how to incorporate therapy animals with maltreated children.

June 2, 2011 = Allie spoke about the co-occurrence of animal abuse and elder abuse at the Virginia Coalition for the Prevention of Elder Abuse in Virginia Beach, VA.

May 6, 2011 = Allie spoke about Sheltering Animals & Families Together and transforming domestic violence shelters to accommodate families with pets at Widening the Circle of Compassion: Meeting the Needs of Survivors and their Pets in New York City.

April 11, 2011 = Allie presented on the co-occurrence of animal abuse and violence to people and how therapy animals can help maltreated children in Sarasota, FL.

April 12, 2011 = Allie was the keynote speaker on the co-occurrence of animal abuse, violence to people and how communities can help for the Sarasota Junior League.

April 6, 2011 (Wednesday) = Allie presented on the co-occurrence of animal abuse and child abuse at the National District Attorney Association’s Equal Justice for Children conference in San Diego, CA.

March 25, 2011 (Friday) = Allie presented on Michigan Legislative Activities at the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance Getting to the Goal Conference in Ann Arbor, MI.

March 25, 2011 (Friday) = Allie was a featured guest at Animal & Society Institute’s Open House in Ann Arbor, MI.

March 24, 2011 (Thursday) = Allie was at Barnes & Noble in Ann Arbor, MI for a book signing event for How Shelter Pets are Brokered for Experimentation.

March 24, 2011 (Thursday) = Allie spoke at her alma mater, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, on her animal advocacy career.

Book signing event at Pet Sage pet store in Alexandria, VA on October 16, 2010. It was wonderful to see people interested in learning more about the secretive practice of pound seizure.

On October 2, 2010, Allie appeared at the First National PAWS Days Event in Whiteville, NC. As Founder of the Pets and Women’s Shelters Program, Allie created the National PAWS Day to help domestic violence shelters that house pets on-site to host a dog walk to raise funds for their program, as well as to raise awareness in their community regarding the co-occurrence of animal abuse and domestic violence. Seventeen PAWS shelters participated this year!

On September 15, 2010, Allie presented a copy of her pound seizure book to Michigan Representative John Espinoza (bill sponsor of MI’s bill to end pound seizure by Class B dealers), along with American Humane’s Legislator Award.
