National SAF-T Day

National SAF-T Day Flyer

Registration is currently closed for 2014 National SAF-T Day event which will be on October 4, 2014.

National SAF-T Day is held annually on the first Saturday in October. This national event originated in 2010 as an opportunity for shelters to host a local dog walk or other community event to raise funds to start or sustain an on-site pet housing program and awareness regarding the co-occurrence between animal abuse and domestic violence.

Thank you to our supporters: Ahimsa House, Jewish Women’s International, National Link Coalition, National Resource Center on Domestic Violence, Pets of the Homeless, and RedRover.

And thank you to these shelters who will participate in the 2014 National SAF-T Day: The Underground Railroad (Saginaw, MI); Women’s Center of Mid-Minnesota (Brainerd, MN); Domestic Violence Advocacy Center (Mt. Holly, NJ); Families First (Whiteville, North Carolina); The Hope Center (Tarentum, PA); Little Grass Ranch (Comfort, TX); and Clarina Howard Nicols Center (Morrisville, VT).
